The Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department won a Troy-Bilt Snow Thrower in a contest sponsored by WCHS TV8 and WVAH Fox 11. The Snow Thrower will be used to clear the driveways and parking areas at the department’s three (3) fire stations as well as be made available to clear other public safety facilities in the area. The Snow Thrower is valued at well over $1,000.00. The fire department is always seeking and applying for grants and alternate sources of funding to help the department grow and meet the ever increasing needs of our community.
