Sissonville VFD Receives Polaris Ranger

The Sissonville VFD was recently awarded a new 2008 6×6 Polaris Ranger from U.S. Smokeless Tobacco, Inc. from their Operation Ranger program. As of right now the Sissonville VFD is the only agency in West Virginia and one of only 70 in the United States to receive an award this year. In years past Ghent VFD, Lumperport VFD, Glen Dale VFD, Harrison County OEMS, Mullens VFD, Williamson FD, and Wyoming County FD have been awarded.

New Swiftwater Rescue Technicians

The Sissonville VFD is proud to announce we have three additional Swiftwater Rescue Technicians on our roster. Chuck Carney, Bobby Fisher, and Scott Lowther recently spent three long days on the New River and Gauley River in Fayette County training with Rescue 3 International instructors from the Elite Swiftwater Institute. Thank you guys for your hard work.
